Mr. Yves Brachet brings more than 30 years of nuclear industry experience to his current position as President, Europe, Middle East, and Africa where he is responsible for building customer relationships, developing business plans, capturing new markets, and successfully executing existing and new projects. He comes to the EMEA president position from his most recent role as vice president and managing director – France, Benelux. Mr. Brachet Yves joined Westinghouse in November 2004 as regional vice-president of France.
Before that, he was general manager of Endel, a Suez company subsidiary. He joined Endel in 2000 as director of its Nuclear Department.
Prior to joining Endel, Mr. Brachet held positions of increasing responsibility during 18 years with Transnucléaire (AREVA subsidiary), in areas including transport of radioactive material, engineering of containers for radioactive material containment and radioactive fuel cycle. In 1993, he was appointed Transnucléaire vice-president and six years later, executive vice-president. His first position was as design engineer.
Mr. Brachet holds a engineering degree from École Centrale de Paris and a degree in civil engineering from Centre des Hautes Etudes de la Construction, Paris. He has a docteur-ingénieur (Ph.D.) degree from Paris VI University. He also holds a certificate in management and corporate finance from Institut de Contrôle de Gestion.
