This is a meaningful milestone for Westinghouse: a real-world demonstration of how our AI capabilities can deliver immediate, practical value to the nuclear industry we serve.

Fusion for Energy (F4E), in collaboration with Ansaldo Nucleare, Westinghouse Electric Company and Walter Tosto, has completed manufacturing Europe’s final vacuum vessel sector for ITER — the largest international fusion experiment. The component left the factory of Westinghouse in Monfalcone, Italy, and was safely transported by DAHER to the ITER site in Cadarache, France. The arrival of the sector marks the end of a manufacturing journey that started 16 years ago and is officially the last large ITER component delivered on-site.

A groundbreaking project at Ringhals Nuclear Power Plant has set a new benchmark for reactor internals maintenance, marking the industry's first successful deployment of Westinghouse’s next-generation clevis bolt replacement solution.

Westinghouse Electric Company, in partnership with Ringhals and Vattenfall, has successfully completed the nuclear industry’s first clevis bolt replacement using an enhanced one piece “donut” bolt design featuring integrated crimping technology.
