Westinghouse and Hungary Establish Landmark Nuclear Fuel Partnership
First Contract Signed with MVM Group to Deliver VVER-440 Fuel to Paks Nuclear Power Plant

Washington, D.C., November 7, 2025 – Westinghouse Electric Company and MVM Group signed a contract to ensure diversification of fuel supply in Hungary. This partnership brings to Paks Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) reliable supply with Westinghouse VVER fuel, manufactured in Europe. The Westinghouse VVER-440 fuel reload deliveries will start in 2028, subject to licensing activities.

London, United Kingdom, September 3, 2025 – Westinghouse Electric Company has signed memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with six British suppliers to support nuclear new build projects based on AP1000® and AP300™ technologies in the UK and around the world. The agreements bolster Westinghouse’s local supply chain to support the UK’s ambitious goal of increasing nuclear generation by up to 24GW by 2050.

New 40-Year Design Certification Supports Fleet Deployment by Providing a Long-Term Basis to Build AP1000 Plants

Cranberry Township, PA, August 26, 2025 – Westinghouse Electric Company announced today that the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has extended the design certification for its advanced AP1000® large modular reactor to February 2046.
