As the OEM of the electrical systems for Westinghouse and Combustion Engineering (CE) NSSS designs for a large portion of nuclear plants around the world, Westinghouse is uniquely positioned to offer high-quality replacement components, obsolescence solutions and equipment upgrades to support plant life extensions. Westinghouse is an industry expert in providing full-service support for all Westinghouse designed equipment including DB, DS, DH and DHP breakers and components, molded case circuit breakers (MCCB), all MCC components, fuses, switches and more. Additionally, we leverage our experience to provide replacement components and upgrades for non-Westinghouse OEM equipment, such as, vacuum replacement breakers for ABB, GE and ITE, replacement MCC buckets for GE, ITE, Klockner Moeller and many other non-Westinghouse electrical components and systems.
We also take advantage of our extensive machine shop capabilities and strategic partnerships to offer options to extend the life of electrical systems in order to minimize obsolescence risks. Whether it is a replacement component, upgrade or new line-up of switchgear, we ensure that the equipment meets the original system requirements, qualifications and the licensing basis in order to minimize impact.
