Mission

The mission of the PWROG Licensing Committee (LSC) is to utilize its domestic and international membership’s knowledge and experience to enhance nuclear safety and reduce regulatory burden in a value added and cost-effective manner.

Vision

The vision of the LSC is to support industry efforts to proactively identify projects and manage regulatory issues in nuclear plants through use of the “PWROG Regulatory Strategy Process.”

Focus Areas

Preservation of Plant-Specific Design and Licensing Basis to Maximize Member Value

  • To assist members and to develop products, such as generic 50.59 and License Amendment
  • Request templates
  • The LSC also develops Tech Spec Task Force travelers with a focus on improving the Standard Technical Specification NUREGs, and Plant Specific Design Basis Support.
